They had a vision..
Salt Creek Grille was founded by partners Tim
McCune and Pete Truxaw, who left management positions with a successful regional
restaurant company to open the concept of their dreams: a classic American
grille serving fabulous food, distinctive wines, a casual warm ambiance, live
entertainment, spectacular locations and a loyal team of service professionals.
Their vision was to create the most comfortable and inviting restaurant in the
area that is “the place to go”.
The award winning Salt Creek Grille
restaurants are upscale yet casual specialty dinnerhouses featuring
mesquite-grilled fresh fish, aged steaks, and the best chops imaginable. An
extensive wine list complements the classic American fare.
Enjoy a
distinctive dining experience in one of our beautiful structures built in our
own unique yet traditional "craftsman" style architecture. The rich wood
buildings and natural settings lend tribute to Frank Lloyd Wright’s turn of the
century buildings. Outdoor patios, a comfortable porch with fireplace, and a
combination of wood tables and large booths provide plenty of room and seating
versatility for dining and entertainment. We invite you to come and visit one of
our Salt Creek Grille restaurants that is the “talk of the town.”
The
first location opened in Dana Point, California in the summer of 1996. The
restaurant is nestled on the corner of Pacific Coast Highway and Crown Valley
Parkway, just a few blocks north of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and St. Regis Hotel,
south of the exclusive Montage Resort & Spa. Salt Creek Grille Dana Point is
a recent recipient of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 2001, 2002,
2003, 2004 and 2005.
The second location opened on the picturesque
shores of the Navesink River next to the Oceanic Bridge in Rumson, New Jersey in
April 1998. With spectacular views of the Navesink River and located 5 minutes
from the hip Red Bank, this beautiful waterfront setting was the prior home of
the Fisherman’s Wharf Restaurant and the Rumson Inn. Guests enjoy the friendly
ambiance for dinner and cocktails at the popular full service bar. Salt Creek
Grille Rumson was recently Voted “Best Steak in Central NJ” by the NJ Monthly
Magazine as well as awarded the highly coveted Wine Spectator Award of
Excellence for 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005
The third location opened in
June 1999 in Valencia, California. The site is part of the Valencia Town Center,
a new and upcoming shopping mecca in Valencia. This commanding location is
adjacent to the Edwards Theater and the Hyatt Hotel and Conference Center. Salt
Creek Grille Valencia was recently voted “Best Brunch in Santa Clarita” as well
as “Best American Grille” by Santa Clarita Living Magazine.
